Liam had his first baseball practice today - here’s a photo of him and his brother, posing.

PS - More photos on facebook…
Finally, a day for soccer and a super excited little boy, who is also very goofy. Lots of wahoos and excitement.

We had a really great Easter and were able to see the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs…eat chocolate…

We hung eggs in a little tree in the backyard (tradition)…I like this tree/bush because it starts with yellow and then turns to green - a progression to spring (fall in reverse).

We’ve also or at least the boys have been busy making puppets - I made a princess and prince and we had a puppet show - made a video, too - I’ll have to try and figure out how to load it.

And I was asked to be goofy - I guess this is as goofy as I get (photo by Liam).

I used an PS Action on the above two photos that I’m liking - Super Fun Happy from Totally Rad Actions.
So projects; again I am procrastinating. I am overwhelmed with what I would like to accomplish, but just need to start.
Have a great week!
We had a pretty nice adventure today in Weinheim, not too far from Heidelberg - first in a while and it’s spring break so it was very nice and refreshing even with all the walking. The boys got the chance to walk two really cute spanish dogs - and loved it:

And we saw some beautiful Sequoia trees - not native to the area (planted around 150 years ago):

As long as the boys were walking the dogs on the leashes - they were great, but if not they were too tired to walk, LOL…Liam and I on the trail:

And we saw some cool buildings - this is a mausoleum inside the palace grounds:

And a cool door to the mausoleum except for the graffiti:

And we were able to take some breaks - this is on a cute little street in the town (see next photo):

Street View:

And then we visited an old castle (mostly ruins) - view from castle:

And we went up to the tower:

But Aodhan and I were the only ones who made it (Liam was a little scared)…and Aodhan wanted to be goofy - serious one second and laughing the next:

And here’s another photo of the castle ruins:

So we had a great day and are very tired - the boys actually fell asleep in the car on the way home and Liam got a bit car sick on the ride up to the castle, but overall awesome day!
…spring break is here and I’m not much of a blogger - I’ve taken ONE photo in three weeks and have been working lots. I will be spending my week catching up on deadlines, and maybe sleep…we’re also enjoying some spring kind of weather - feels like spring (it’ll probably rain tomorrow)…but that’s okay.
Here’s my one photo:
I don’t know when it will ever stay for good - well at least for a few months….it seems the sun is shining one minute and you’re having just a sweater and then it’s back to the coat and the sky looks like snow could just pour down…but I guess that’s why we appreciate it so much…and we did make it on that adventure with our friend Sylvie to see an area tradition to welcome spring and to say goodbye to winter…here’s a few photos.
Day 81
A very cool cathedral (dome) in the background, but you can’t really see it - trust me it’s beautiful.

And old door - part of the dome.

And then it was on to see the parade and to wait for the snowman.
Liam awaiting the snowman - the sticks are part of the tradition and pretzels are added and eaten.

Here is a giant straw snowman that will be the end of winter.

After the parade and the snowman - the crowd follows the parade to a large open area and there are songs and dancing…then the snowman is burned to say goodbye.

And after all of that, there must be a little more fun with rolling down the hill.

I’ve started my new job - so I’m busier than ever - have a great week!

I have not been really keeping up with a photo a day, although it is one of my goals that I hope to complete - it’s okay to miss a day or two or more…right? I will actually be starting a part-time job this week and will see how keeping up with things works…here’s a few photos - we’re going another a new adventure today for Sommertagszug - I’ll post some photos later today or soon!
Day 75: Leo - I bought this circle pad thingie for our table, just because I liked it - I had not used it yet, but the cats took over - obviously, it is meant to be a cat nap bed. I can usually find one of the cats napping here throughout the day.

Day 78: Just a self portrait…a reminder that this is who is taking all these photos.

Day 79: Waiting for Liam to finish his piano lessons…oh, Aodhan was so bored, but still cute and goofy.

Hopefully, the week will be full of keeping up with goals and new adventures.
…so we always say we’re going on a new adventure when we go somewhere new…Liam asked me yesterday why? Of course, they ask the why question quite a bit and I find myself thinking up answers that are correct and satisfactory to the boys or I will get asked why again…not that I mind, it’s just a reminder that sometimes things just are and we don’t think about them - should we be? Here’s a few photos from our ‘adventure’….
Day 74
A TV tower - we thought we might eat lunch here, but too much other stuff to do in the park.

Aren’t these pretty flamingos - not too warm for them here though.

I love this building - it’s a tea house, we didn’t have tea here - not a thing for the boys to do - but I just love this building and the tranquility of the gardens surrounding the building.

I was the requested camera crew - and followed along the dangerous path within the cave and out.

In a greenhouse aquarium building - we saw snakes, fish, reptiles…

…so who knows what our next adventure will be.
for the perfect klavier…we think we’ll have to get some kind of in between style - maybe a digital piano, until we can afford the one we would like…so we went out again in search of something, and still we can’t make up our minds - but we did by a bench…Well, it’s raining a lot here - surprise there, but I hear there is still lots of snow happening in places in the states, so rain is good. I’m over the snow for the winter and just wish for spring.
No photos for the past couple of days - here’s a couple from today - happy mid-week!
Day 69

I’ve been promised, too by my friend, Sylvie, photo opportunities of lots of old doors…here’s another:
